Denise Cipriano Moriarty
Denise Cipriano Moriarty is Manager of Investor Relations at Elevation Financial Group, where she serves as an integral member of the investor relations team. With over 30 years of management experience, Denise builds and develops relationships with current and potential investors, raises capital, coordinates fund distributions, and serves as a primary liaison between investors and Elevation Financial Group. In over a decade with the company, her previous roles with Elevation have included managing HR and property acquisitions.
Before joining Elevation, Denise served as Manager of Business Operations for General Dynamics – OTS in Orlando, where she was responsible for the human resources, finance, and accounting departments. In this role, Denise negotiated and managed multimillion dollar government contracts, managed a commercial real estate portfolio, and implemented rigorous and highly successful accounting and talent recruitment programs.
In addition to her role with Elevation Financial Group, Denise began her work with the Elevation Scholars, Inc. in 2015. In her role as Business Manager for the non-profit Elevation Scholars, she is responsible for business operations and human resources, where she successfully recruited all the current staff and serves as the college success coach for the first four classes of Scholars.
Denise is a proud central Floridian and serves on the board of directors of multiple Orlando-area charities, including the Social Enterprise Fund and The Glenda G. Morgan Charitable Foundation. She has previously served on the board of directors for The Florida Fellowship Foundation. She attended the University of Central Florida. Originally from Texas, Denise currently lives with her husband, David, and son, Skyler, in Winter Springs.
T. Christopher King, Esq.
T. Christopher King is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Elevation Financial Group. Under his leadership, Elevation has developed a consortium of companies specializing in real estate investment, property management and property renovation. Chris oversees a group of affiliated companies that have successfully launched seven private real estate investment funds and operated in over a dozen U.S. states. Under his leadership, Elevation has developed a nationwide network of hundreds of private investors who have supported Elevation’s efforts to revitalize and preserve affordable housing while creating a profitable return.
Chris received his undergraduate degree in Religion, Politics and American Public Policy from Harvard College and his Juris Doctor from the University of Florida.
In 2018, Chris ran for Governor of Florida and his race and platform is documented in hundreds of articles by the state’s leading newspapers and political journals. Ultimately, he was selected as the Democratic Nominee for Lieutenant Governor of Florida in one of the nation’s closest and most watched mid-term elections. Along with his running mate, Chris earned over 4,000,000 votes.
Chris has been widely recognized as one of the nation’s leading voices for affordable housing and housing security. He has twice been honored by the Department of Housing and Urban Development for “Excellence in the Preservation of Affordable Housing” and he is a frequent speaker, writer and social media advocate for underserved communities needing greater access to affordable housing.
Chris’s philanthropic career includes founding the Elevation Foundation, a public charity charged to address inequality through education and entrepreneurship, and founding The Elevation Scholars Program, a best-in-class initiative that provides college access, admissions, and success support to high-performing student leaders from low-income high schools. His work has also included supporting charitable development programs in Haiti and Africa and in 2016 helped launch The Elevation Academy, an elementary school in Kinshasa, the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Chris is married to Kristen King—his high school sweetheart—and they have three children, Charlie, Mary Grace and Luke. The King family attends Summit Church.
Wendy Roundtree
Wendy J. Roundtree, APR, is the Founder and Lead Strategist of Jarel Communications, a social impact firm that helps purpose-driven organizations amplify their impact through strategic communication and public relations. With clients across the public, private, and nonprofit sectors, the firm’s expertise includes K-12 education, food insecurity, health equity, and homelessness.
Wendy previously served at Orange County Public Schools, the eighth-largest school district in the nation. There, she specialized in executive speechwriting, employee communications, integrated marketing, and media relations. Her background also includes in-house and agency roles, with industry experience spanning government, higher education, nonprofit, real estate, and healthcare.
In recognition of her achievements and advocacy in public relations, Wendy was named the 2023 Trailblazer Professional of the Year by the Sunshine District of the Public Relations Society of America. Her accolades include being named to Orlando Magazine’s 2021 Women of the Year list, receiving a Women’s Achievement Award from the Women’s Executive Council, and being recognized as a 40 Under 40 recipient by Bethune-Cookman University and the Orlando Business Journal.
Deeply engaged in her community, Wendy serves as Vice Chair of the Board for the Joe R. Lee Boys and Girls Club in Eatonville, Fla. She is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and previously served as president of the Orlando Regional Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America.
Wendy earned her MBA from the Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College and her bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications from Bethune-Cookman University.
Scott Lee
Scott Lee serves as the Vice President of Investor Relations for Elevation Financial Group and provides leadership to the maintenance and growth of Elevation’s investor base, directing all communications with current and prospective investors. In addition, Scott founded and served as President of Elevation Scholars Inc. until June of 2024. Elevation Scholars is a 501 (c) 3 public charity, and under Scott’s leadership it helped 125+ high-performing, high-need students from Central Florida Title 1 high schools to and through the nation’s most selective colleges and universities.
With more than 22 years of experience as a nationally respected leader in the non-profit sector, Scott previously served for eleven years with Good News Jail & Prison Ministry, a global 501(c)(3) organization with 400 staff members in 21 countries. At the time of exiting his tenure with the ministry, he was the Vice President of Advancement, and was responsible for generating the $7 million in annual revenue required to fund the organization’s initiatives and operation. Prior to that, Scott owned a consulting firm, in which he helped dozens of non-profits develop more effective strategies for fundraising; collectively increasing his client’s funding by more than $15 million.
Scott received his MBA from Rollins College Crummer Graduate School of Business in 2016 and attends Discovery Church of Orlando. He and his wife Amy reside in Orlando with their two young daughters, Maggie and Anna Kate.
Mary Beth Morgan
Mary Beth Morgan is the Managing Director for the Glenda G. Morgan Charitable Foundation (GGMCF) in Winter Park, Florida, a public charity that supports philanthropic efforts of charitable development. GGMCF collaborates with and supports non-profit organizations whose goal is to obtain economic stability, better education, and improved health for people living in absolute poverty.
International projects with in-country partners include sustainable agricultural teaching farms, animal husbandry, access to clean water, and reforestation to improve human and environmental health in Central America and the Caribbean. These efforts also intend to bring jobs and a food source to villages that have systemic nutritional deficiencies.
Local domestic projects include youth enrichment, mentorship, and scholarship programs to students in Central Florida’s middle schools and Title 1 high schools. Grants to local college study abroad programs have increased the accessibility for students to travel around the world, develop leadership skills, cultivate problem-solving skills, and to be inspired and humbled by humanitarian acts of kindness. Other important projects include working with the local food bank for greater access to food for impoverished communities; inspiring and engaging our community to end hunger.
In addition to GGMCF, Mary Beth has been an active member of several boards in the Central Florida area and is currently serving as a Board of Director for The Social Enterprise Fund, Florida Fellowship Foundation, Elevation Scholars, Elevation Home, and the Burnett Honors College Dean’s Advisory Board. Past board memberships include the University of Central Florida Foundation, Second Harvest Food Bank, and the Caribbean Harvest Foundation.
Mary Beth is originally from Salisbury, Maryland and has lived in the Orlando area since 1976. She earned an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration and Management with a specialization in Marketing from Valencia Community College. She also earned a certificate in Philanthropy and Non-Profit Leadership Management from the Rollins College Crummer Graduate School of Business in Winter Park, Florida. She currently resides in Ormond Beach, Florida and has one daughter, Brianna, who’s a senior at FSU.
